Set Up a Self Hosted Blog With a Domain & a Responsive Theme

New to the online world? A blog designer not yet in your budget? Gotta get things moving online? Don't even know where to start with this Wordpress thing?

No sweat. We've all been there at one time or another. And guess what? Setting up your new business online does not need to be complicated.

If you have decided the scalability and advantages of having a Wordpress blog is the answer (and millions would agree with you), but you just need some help getting things started, then you've come to the right gal. I can, will and would be delighted to help you!

First things first: I bet you are wondering if you should go with the free Wordpress versus self-hosted Wordpress? Well, if you aren't wondering that and you already know what you want, then go on and scroll below to get started now. Don't waste another moment!

If you are still reading, here is the answer: a free blog such as anything that starts with mywebsitename.wordpress.com is hosted on a public domain that Wordpress (the company) offers many bloggers. Nothing wrong with that, and very kind indeed. However, as with anything free, there are limitations to the content you share, the items you sell, the themes you can use, the functionality (plugins) you can install and even restrictions on advertising. After all, they own the space and are already nice enough to let you use it for free so they have the right to set up restrictions to ensure the environment stays stable enough for all the other free users. This, get me wrong, may be a fine way to start for some people.

But, as your business grows (or for your business to grow), you will eventually need to leave the nest. And you will want to find a place of your own. That does not mean you need to leave "Wordpress". The Wordpress plugin is free, you see, and you can install it yourself with any host you wish! Works exactly the same way after installed, but times 1,000 in terms of flexibility, functionality, scalability and business branding.

This is exactly what I cover inside this 3 video series (for free): How to install the Wordpress plugin in a domain and a host that you own. It's cool. Takes less than 30 minutes really. Feel free to check out my FAQ's below if you have more questions about self-hosting.

In this brief 3 step video series I will walk you through not only a self-hosted installation of Wordpress but also, getting your own domain at the same time! Then I will give you an overview of your new Wordpress administrative office and show you how to find and install a free responsive theme. All of this will take us less than 30 minutes!

It's my treat! Let's go!
